...Still drawing blank. I couldn't find on the Wikipedia list any live action series within 2000-2003 that has an anime, except for Gokusen which got its anime after the first live-action series.

I will now do a massive facepalm for you sir, for even thinking once, wikipedia is actually accurate ^^
