How to Patch Files v3 (Scroll down for older methods)

Download the patch files and extract them into the same folder as the episodes.

After extracting, it should look like this.

Double-click "Apply_Patch_Windows.bat" to start patching. If you're using Linux or MacOS, run "Apply_Patch_Linux_and_Mac.sh" in the terminal.

The patching may take a while. You'll see the progress in your cmd prompt or terminal.

Your episode folder will look like this after the patching.

It's recommended to run a CRC32 check on the new files.

If everything went well, you can delete the "old" folder, the xdelta3.exe and the apply scripts.

(Not so) New patching system in 2nd post.

Simple enough...

Download the patch you need from Doki.co (http://doki.co) and place it/extract it and the file to be patched in a folder (patches usually have the same name, so best to avoid putting them all in one folder).

(http://images.hologfx.com/Ixlone/Support/Support (16).png)

Double click the "apply patch.bat", and wait...

(http://images.hologfx.com/Ixlone/Support/Support (3).png)

Rinse and repeat. Should you get an error, make sure the file name is the same as the one in the patch. You can do this by right clicking on "apply patch.bat" selecting "edit" and checking the first file name againt yours. If they are different copy the one from the patch and rename your file.

You should also check the CRC of the file to make sure it's not corrupt some how. For this i recommend using animechecker (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/animechecker/animechecker-0.9.6.1-setup.exe).

(http://images.hologfx.com/Ixlone/Support/Support (12).png) Correct file.

(http://images.hologfx.com/Ixlone/Support/Support (2).png) Corrupt file.

I'm up for making tutorials! They seem so helpful. Also, the staff isn't scary, they were all really nice people when I joined.

Glad to see someone else thinks tutorials are a good idea.

BTW, I'm just saying that to any newbie a staff member, moderator, or administrator can seem scary.  I'm not actually saying that those people are scary...  ;)  In reality, they all have such wuv-a-ble personalities!  ;D

May I ask where I can get "Doki Patch Creator"?
I saw it somewhere on the main page but now I can't find it.

About CRC checking I also suggest RapidCRC Unicode: http://overfiend.sessionclan.de/drupal/programs/rapidcrc
More options, also checking MD5, SHA1, ed2k and more frequently updates.

Do you guys use a new patching system now?
Can't seem to be able to do anything, it keeps saying file cannot be found and when I try editing the .bat it says invalid X3 input.
Any tips?

If editing the apply_patch.bat fails for you, try dragging it into notepad. Then you can find the original Doki release file name it expects, and rename your existing file to match before running it.

More troubleshooting: Check the existing file's CRC and verify it matches the pre-patch filename.
