Dang. I was really hoping to have a good quality BDRip, but I guess the last option is to buy it. Thank you.

Requests / My Neighbour Totoro

I'm looking for a Blu-ray release of My Neighbour Totoro and was wondering if there are plans for Doki to be doing them. I tried looking around with a few google searches, Toyko Tosho and BakaBT, but thus far have found nothing.

If there is another fansub group already in the process or have done the Blu-Rays, please share the link to their resources. That would be greatly appreciated.

If Doki decides to release Totoro, I'd gladly donate funds towards the completion of this. Thank you!

Anime / Re: Infinite Stratos and why it's worth reading (SPOILERS)
« on: January 16, 2012, 11:51:03 pm »
I think one of the biggest problems with the anime was that it was hyped up so much and generated a lot of expectations, given that the Light Novel is good and the concept was promising (Attractive Girls + Mobile Armours + Harem). For myself, I actually enjoyed IS because I went into watching it without any expectations, I knew nothing about it, and I only heard about it from a friend of mine.

I haven't read the Light Novels nor do I intend to, not because I hate IS or reading, but because I just don't have the time between work+school.

That being said, you provided a summary that was easy to understand and shared a lot of facts that weren't included in the anime. A big example was the whole "unmanned" IS, which I thought was a bit far-fetched even at the start. Now that it's been finally revealed there was someone in it, it just makes so much more sense. It is unfortunate that the anime failed to capture the accuracy and true plot of the Light Novel.

Your summaries did help explain a lot though. Even if you can't convince everyone to read the Light Novels, simply providing summaries from the original content will definitely do justice to the true plot of IS.
