Patching the PE with ME scripts should be no problem, as they are essentially the same. As for patching earlier releases with PE additions however, that might take some time to do, but we do plan on doing it eventually, yes. It's at the very bottom of our "to-do" list though. There's not much new content in the PE that isn't included in the ME anyway though. The PE is basically the consumer edition of the ME, since the ME was limited print. I believe it's the same as the Vita version content-wise, but maybe with different aspect ratio graphics and audio quality. I think it has an extra CG that wasn't in the ME, and an extra sprite, and maybe higher quality voices.

Hi LedZeppelin.

Unfortunately, the Clannad FV English patch was made by Baka-Tsuki before the project was merged and transferred over to Doki, and since the team is busy working on Tomoyo After now, with no plans of working on Clannad until after TA is done, no further work has been done on the Clannad patch since then. As such, there isn't really much we can do about it at the moment. The patch was never really designed for MAC in the first place. Sorry for the trouble, but all I can really suggest at this point is to wait for our patch instead, once we begin working on it, if you have the patience. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I have windows vista 32-bit. When ever I reach the point where the opening would play I get an error.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library

R6016
-not enough space for thread data

I also have the game downloaded on a external hard drive and have tried to play the game on both Japanese and English local. I get the same error every time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is an error generated by the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (technical explanation in case you're interested: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/126709 ). I would suggest first updating your libraries and see if that solves the problem. The version you need depends on your system specs, but basically, x86 is for 32-bit systems (like yours), and x64 is for 64-bit systems. Personally I have the 2005 and 2008 ones installed, but not the 2010 one. I’m using Windows 7 64-bit. I believe that since you're using Vista, you'll need the ones that are marked "SP1", and not the ones that don't have "SP1" in them. Since I'm such a nice guy, and since I don't want you to download the wrong redistributables, here you go: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5638
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582
Saved you the trouble of looking them up. ;-) Let me know if that solves your problem or not.

@Yokosuma & Soliloquist
I'll reply to both of you in the same post.

Do I report errors here? I keep getting crashes when the first MV starts loading ... what do I do?  :karuta:

Please report errors in the "Tomoyo After Game Error Thread". Read through the topic btw, and the last few pages here: http://doki.co/2012/09/22/tomoyo-after-english-patch-v1/#comments  Chances are your problem has already been posted by someone else and answered before.

On which edition does this English patch work? And where can I actually purchase the version on which the English patch can be applied?

I'm new to this whole visual novel stuff; I thought I'd give it a try.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This patch is for the Standard/Regular Edition of Tomoyo After. It does not work on the Memorial Edition (which is superior). The patch for the Memorial Edition is being worked on however, and will be out later. As for where you can buy the game...The Memorial Edition is available a few places, but the Regular Edition is extremely hard to come by. Have a look at the thread I posted a link to above, in my response to Yokosuma. I believe the main places where you can get the game are listed there in the comments.

I have MS UI Gothic regular.
As for the crash report it didn't give me an option on the window, but I went into the event viewer. I hope this helps.

Faulting application name: REALLIVE.EXE, version: 1.3.5.4, time stamp: 0x435c9cd5
Faulting module name: MSVCR90.dll, version: 9.0.30729.6161, time stamp: 0x4dace5b9
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0003bc44
Faulting process id: 0x186c
Faulting application start time: 0x01cdd1c8df9d9f5f
Faulting application path: C:\KEY\智代アフター\REALLIVE.EXE
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.6161_none_50934f2ebcb7eb57\MSVCR90.dll
Report Id: 32662158-3dbc-11e2-8c62-00269e8d3692

Aha. According to Delwack, this means that the faulting module that the error occurred in is not reallive.exe or rlbabel.dll, but MSVCR90.dll. I hate to say this, but that means it's a a segfault memory access crash, and that actually points to the visual c++ redistribution packages...The problem should be on the redistro/OS/standard libraries end. If you are absolutely 100% sure that you have downloaded all the latest visual c++ redistributables, then the only other thing I can think of is that it is a admin permissions issue. I believe Tomoyo After asks for admin permissions every time it runs, so you need to make sure that you are allowing admin permissions. If that's not it, then I'd suggest redownloading all the latest 2005 and 2008 (and maybe the 2010 ones, but I don't have those either...) visual c++ redistributables. Remember, you need to grab the right ones for your system. It's not just about you system being XP, Vista, or 7, there are different ones depending on whether your system is 32bit or 64bit as well. In the former case you'll need the x86 ones, while in the latter case you'll need the x64 ones. Don't try to install both either, as I think they'd conflict with each other.

But anyway, if that doesn't help, let me know. Polarem might have an idea if we ask him. ; )

Ok, Shadow, a couple of things:
1. Can you check in your Windows Font folder, and see if you have the font called "MS UI Gothic" (not "MS Gothic" or "MS PGothic")? The file should have 3 Japanese characters on it. If you're missing it, that "might" be it. But if that's not it:
2. Are you able to grab the module that is causing the crash, and see if it is it reallive.exe or rlbabel.dll? If you could post the windows error report, what the information in it says, exactly, word for word, other than just "reallive has stopped working" (if there is any other info that is), then that would likely help us isolate the problem a bit more. Specifically, we need to know what the error code was and which module it was in. The error should have occured either in reallive.exe or rlbabel.dll.

Hello Doki forums, I unfortunately have an issue with my Tomoyo IaWL game.

My OS is Windows XP, to make this problem less general.

The details go as follows: I can boot up and change the setting in the menu, and the menu theme plays fine. But whenever I try to start a new game (June 28th) I get an error message that looks like this:

RealLIVE error: FatalError: Could not find a suitable font.

What do?

Yeah I have the exact same issue basically except, i have all of my visual C++ and what not fully updated and I don't get an error about the font. The font just doesn't appear. Just like this person above me, it works fine and everything's in English and I can mess with the settings, except when I click START and try a new game (June 28th, Monday), everything appears EXCEPT the dialogue and therefore music stops and then game crashes and RealLive doesn't respond. So I don't even get to see any text. I tried updating whatever I needed, but idk.. I'ma try reinstalling a few more times but it's disappointing.. I can't even start playing it yet lol.. Maybe I missed something helpful on the site? idk. x; Help would be appreciated lol.

Right, first things first: I know you probably already know this, but I have to mention it just in case: Make sure you're not using an old BakaTsuki patch together with the Doki one, as that won't work. Even if you think you aren't doing so, the copy of the game that you have, if downloaded from the internet, may very well have a BakaTsuki patch already installed. That is not the case if what you downloaded is not a folder but a DVD image file though of course.

Secondly, there might simply be something wrong with your copy of the game, or the RealLive.exe. So make sure the copy of the game you're using is a working one (check if others have used it successfully). If you've replaced your RealLive.exe at some point (I know there are people posting download versions of the game that tell you to replace the original RealLive.exe with a cracked one for example), then retreive the original one again. The correct version number for your RealLive.exe should be 1.3.5.4, so check that.

Finally, in your Windows control panel, and language settings, change your Windows locale to Japan, and the language for non-unicode programs to Japanese, even if you are using Windows 7, and not Windows XP (if you're using XP you can also alternatively use Applocale).

Try all of those things, and see if it helps. :-)

You might wanna check this site: http://fuwanovel.org/  It's a new good site for VN's in English, that launched only recently (the site, not the VN's). Also, there's like 3 different working copies of the game on Nyaa: http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=search&cats=6_24&filter=0&term=Little+Busters  :-)
Awesome, this site seems a bit more user friendly and it looks like their version already has the english patch applied to it.
Thanks :)

You're welcome! ^^

Hey ngn, did you manage to get Little Busters to work? I never heard from you after my last post to you, so...
I had no luck, i couldnt even work out where i had downloaded it from.
The english patch installed and now i have its icon taunting me on my desktop.

I think it may be easier if i just remove everything and try again but i would prefer a copy that doesnt have these problems (this attempted install almost drove me insane)

I believe you downloaded it from erogedownload, right here: http://erogedownload.com/downloads/little-busters/  ;-)  But yes, I'm pretty sure the problem is either the fact that you deleted the REALLIVE.exe, or, like you said, there is a problem with the copy of the game itself (maybe the REALLIVE.exe included is buggy). Because I'm quite sure it's not the patch.
