Visual Novels / Re: Your Favourite Visual Novel
« on: November 01, 2012, 01:19:04 am »
I have a ton of great visual novels lying around on my comp, but the only ones I've actually played so far are Fate/stay night, Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya, Utawarerumono, and Ever17. Kagetsu Tohya was good, but the rest I'd say are all fantastic. Fate/stay night is without a doubt my favourite one (look at my avatar) though, it's so amazing!

Visual Novels / Re: Tomoyo After Game Error Thread
« on: November 01, 2012, 01:06:21 am »
Hello Doki forums, I unfortunately have an issue with my Tomoyo IaWL game.

My OS is Windows XP, to make this problem less general.

The details go as follows: I can boot up and change the setting in the menu, and the menu theme plays fine. But whenever I try to start a new game (June 28th) I get an error message that looks like this:

RealLIVE error: FatalError: Could not find a suitable font.

What do?

Beardkittes, look here: http://doki.co/2012/09/22/tomoyo-after-english-patch-v1/comment-page-9/#comments     And then check my responses to "alenus". Hopefully that should fix your problem. :-) I think you're missing the necessary Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. Let me know how it works out.

Anime / Re: Round 1: Uzumaki Naruto vs Kurosaki Ichigo
« on: November 01, 2012, 12:17:52 am »
I like Naruto much more than Bleach, but I'd have to say if it's Ichigo versus Naruto, then Ichigo would win, especially if he was in his Final Form, despite Naruto's newfound Yellow Flash level speed due to his Kyuubi cloak. Speedwise they're both godlike, but and Naruto is more versatile, but Ichigo would win just because of share power...In his Final Form he can blow up a mountain just by swinging his sword once for god's sake...He also has even stronger defense than Naruto's cloak I think, since Aizen's full power level 90 Destructive Art didn't phase him at all...And then there's the whole Naruto wouldn't be able to see him thing...

Anime / Re: Little Busters gets anime adaptation

Anybody know how to install the little busters game?(and apply english patch)

Any feedback/abuse would be helpful

This isn't the right place for this, you should post a question like this in the Visual Novel forum. With that out of the way, first things first: Do you have the actual game disc, or are you using a downloaded version? If it's the latter, then tell me what type of files came with the download, or even better, if you can, point me to where you got it, and I can check for myself. But, usually if there's and ISO/CUE disc image file, then you use a program like DAEMON Tools to load the disc virtually, and then install the game like normal. Then you just run the exe. for the Little Busters 6.0 patch, and install it into the directory where you installed the game. Finally, if you want to use the Little Busters! EXperimental EXtra patch 1.0 as well, download it, and extract the contents into the game folder. If you're using the Ecstasy (EX) or Memorial (ME) version of the game, you'll need to grab the respective versions of the 6.0 patch instead of the one for the regular version, but be aware that in this case there will be content that is not translated, since these editions have extra content that is not translated in these patches. There are no complete EX/ME patches yet.

Have a look here: http://doki.co/visual-novels/little-busters/
Or here: http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=Little_Busters!
For updates, and basic info on how to install the patches. Let me know if you have trouble actually RUNNING the game once you've installed and patched it. You might run into potential trouble when it comes to that as well.

My glorius English, Uncensored, Collector's Edition copy of School Days HQ (high quality) arrived! ^^

Well, I live at home at the moment, so I can't really use the oppai mouse pad even if I wanted too, and even then, I don't really fancy the whole wedding dress deal, or her expression. I'm also more of a Sekai type of person...And I don't much care for the keychain thing either. But I mostly bought the CE because I like the cover art better anyway, so it's all good. ( ̄ー ̄)

Phew! I finally managed to get the pictures to show up right! That took a lot of time and effort. Not too good at this. ^^' Anyway, hope some of you enjoy them at least.

Right! Here goes! All I have available to take pictures with though is my crappy 5 pixel cellphone camera, so apologies in advance for the poor quality. I snuck 3 game related items in there because I really like them. 'Course, I have a lot of other game and movie related merchandise, but that's not what this topic is about. I also have some Bleach and Naruto items, but I won't bore you with those. Some wallscrolls of mine also aren't included, as I don't feel like going to the effort of taking them out and hanging them up. There will be a lot of Type-Moon stuff, so if for some reason you don't like that...Too bad. ; ) I'm also just going to pretend you are all ignorant, even with the famous series, and include the name of the work the items are from/based on. ; ) The pictures are too big to fit full size in the post, so they are in thumbnail size. Just click a picture to see it in full size. So, anyway, without furder ado: - Fate/stay night wallscroll.
- This should go well with Clannad Man. A Clannad pillow. ; )
- FFXIII pillow. I actually liked the game. Sue me.
- Totoro pillow. From "My Neighbour Totoro", a Studio Ghibli movie.
- Another Totoro pillow.
- Tohsaka Rin figma from Fate/stay night.
- Saber figma from the same series/VN.
- Emiya Shirou figma from the same series/VN.
- Saber Lily figma from the PS2 and PSP fighting game Fate/Unlimited Codes. Came with my Limited Edition copy of the game.
- A cheap Archer figure. Again from FSN.
- My manga shelf, where my FSN figmas are displayed.
- Rider Nendoroid from FSN. This picture ended up being especially bad...sorry...
- Keychain Konata Nendoroid. From Lucky Star.
- Keychain Kagami Nendoroid. Same series.
- 3 pictures of Ed's State Alchemist pocket-watch, from Fullmetal Alchemist. And yes, it actually works too. The inscription says "Don't forget 3. Oct. 11 11".
- Ed's necklace. Same series. I always wear it when I go outside. :p
- Shigure Asa figure. From the VN and Anime "SHUFFLE!".
- Long-haired Haruhi figure from the "The Dissapearance of Suzumiya Haruhi" Light Novel and Movie.
- 2 pictures of my Ryougi Shiki figure from the Light Novel and Anime-Movie series "Kara no Kyoukai".
- Figure of Ezio Auditore as he appears in Assassin's Creed 2.
- Figure of Ezio as he appears in Assassin's Creed Revelations.
- The pride of my collection, with 3 pictures, my Tohsaka Rin figure, which is based on a movie poster illustration for the Unlimited Blade Works movie.
- Finally, a picture of my game shelf (I keep my computer games in a different shelf though), where my figures are displayed. The dagger in the middle is just some random dagger my Uncle gave me once.

I might post some pictures of my collection in a couple of days. I attended the Norwegian Anime, Manga, Cosplay etc convention Desucon (which is now Scandinavia's biggest convention of its type) recently as well, so I have aquired some new items. Oh, and I just registered on the forum. Figured it was about time.  ;)
