How much censorship?

<< < (2/2)

Hanover Fist:
I recently got the first two BD eps of R-15 (not that the boobs and panties were that important, just that the white bars were so obnoxious). After being able to relax and watch those two without having to cringe at the white bars, I found the show to be funny enough to make it through the censored 3-12.

It wasn't the censorship itself that made me drop it the first time, but that it was so crudely done - before I was able to build up any interest or motivation to keep watching the show. If they need to censor, the first couple eps are the ones where the broadcasters should take the most time and effort to do it tastefully.

I'll take equivalent black bars from Blood-C over the white in R-15 any time. Yes, the darkened areas in Princess Lover weren't bad. The ink splotches in Hyakka Rouran were nearly OK. Excessive steam works too, and if they must use white, at least use it when the sun is in frame so it really does look like sunlight.

Edit: *watching ep.03* Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai is another example of censorship that's obvious but not as annoying. It's clear what's there and what's being blocked and it doesn't obscure the entire screen. Also, like Onii-chan no Koto there is some relevancy of the censoring to the show in the images used for the censoring blocks. It's not as good as if it's planned in the original anime, like the FMP example a while back but it's tolerable.

Freaking horsey. I almost couldn't stand it in Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai. Except for this one frame discribed below:

Censorship= an unearthly abomination that deserves to be eradicated and destroyed, I want my gore, and I want my boobs, screw censorship

Rodman101:
Is it just me or does To Love Ru have varying censorship from the first season on? For example, the first season has the steam and light beams that mildly censor, but don't entirely censor such that Lala's nipples are still discernable. The second and third seasons have darker/thicker light beams and steam that cover noticeably more than the first season. Also, kind of non sequitor but is there no uncensored version of the first season or is it I just can't find crap?

doki2x:
I dont care at all coz i sometimes watch hentai and yaoi :D
