As long as I can copy kanji for title, it's OK. I can always google it in English.

Requests / Music ID service
« on: September 25, 2011, 07:59:52 am »
Hello there! I'm looking for something to identify music, and not just any muzic - mostly ani-songu, in rare cases parts of character singles or stuff. It can be in kanji, and I'd rather use an application than a website, but it's not necessary.

If some people here still play Meinkraft once in a while, let's get in touch - I can host a server (and actually do so), but most of my friends don't play too much. Although it'd be a lot better if we could have a 24/7 Doki server... But that's probably only wishful thinking.

I also play Audiosurf, can help with Portal 2 (I've completed it and now I'm only waiting for the new DLC, which was supposed to be out about 2 months ago...), sometimes I get killed in TF2 and rampage in GMod (with friends usually, I don't like downloading loads of addons and the only good thing I'm albe to build using Wire is a heavily-armed station using Stargate addons). Oh, and I used to play Supreme Commander 2. Here's my Steam profile.
I hardly play anything other than the games shown there, although my collection is pretty big. If someone would like, I'd play Homeworld 2, Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, Dawn of War (Dark Crusade or Soulstorm - I play Tau), BFBC2, maybe Scrapland or Spellforce 2.

and then i still had to find a way to bring the sound from pc to tv
Actually, no, since some video cards can transmit sound through DVI-HDMI cables. I was actually a bit surprised when I found out that my TV is available as a sound device. But still, 15 meters is quite a lot for AV signal, so one of these fancy mini-PCs will be a good idea.
Did you consider putting one together? I know it won't look as good as these stylish little ones, but you might be able to save some money by buying mini-ATX mobo, some HDD, a little-better-than-average processor, a moderate amount of RAM and keyboard and mouse which you'd probably have to buy anyway. Although you may also need a graphics card, since I don't know how capable are these integrated ones.

That's true, but don't you have any way to just plug your TV to PC through DVI-HDMI cable?

Anime / Re: Your Favourite Anime Seiyuu (Voice Actors)
« on: August 26, 2011, 07:46:58 am »
I'm just wondering why only one person mentioned Hikasa Youko. You can fall in love in her voice, or at least get addicted to it. Every single song sung by her is fantastic (on the other hand, I can hardly find any ton-K-ON! songs, but still...), and she also voices great characters, such as Seraphim, Akiyama Mio or Amakusa Shino. She's also the main (and actually, the only) reason I started watching Moshidora.
Although it might be because of her roles, I also like Hanazawa Kana's voice. Tenshi, Kuroneko, Nadeko (her OP was great), Zange-chan...
Toyosaki Aki: Yui-chan, Chitose, and maybe Najimi from Akikan!, Satsuki from Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Bonbori from Zakuro. Somewhat interesting voice, and I don't think she's that bad at singing.
I believe I should also mention Hiramatsu Akiko, who voiced Tsurugi Konoe from Hanaukyo Maid-tai: La Verite. And even though I didn't like Yukari (Azumanga Daioh), she also sounded nice.
And last but not least female favourite: Horie Yui, known as a voice of Millhiore Firiano Biscotti (yes, I watched it and yes, I liked it; actually, it had some of my favorite seiyuus too, which I found out when I was watching), Tsukimiya Ayu of Kanon fame, Mishima Akane from Kampfer, OtoBoku protagonist Miyanokouji Mizuho, widely-known Kushieda Minori and Zero no Tsukaima's Siesta. MAL says she's also responsible for Narusegawa Naru's voice, but since I don't approve of Love Hina anime, I think I'll omit it.

Since I played Melty Blood and Fate/stay night (and also watch crystalized fun, I mean, Carnival Phantasm), I can't say I don't like Nakata Jouji. Araya Souren, Kotomine Kirei, Nrvnqsr Chaos. And infamous Narrator of Amagami SS (he did a great job there, it's just the very idea of Narrator was wrong).
Also, Sugita Tomokazu - I happened to watch 3 shows  with him voicing the protagonist I believe it was Shuffle!, then Chobits and finally Haruhi. He was incredible in Marimite and OreTsuba. I've also heard he's an otaku. And not just regular otaku - he'd recognize pretty much every single reference you'd make, even unintentionally.
And one more male seiyuu: Fukuyama Jun. I've seen Akikan!, Working!!, Kimikiss, Spice And Wolf, MM! and I believe he's one of the best voices for somewhat warped characters (although he was great as Lawrence too).

Visual Novels / Re: Your Favourite Visual Novel

Even though I didn't read too many of different VNs, I'd say my favourites so far would be Sono Hanabira (3 and 5), and TYPE-MOON works - Tsukihime (with Kagetsu Tohya and Melty Blood - VN style, but choices made by fighting :3 ) and Fate/stay night (can't wait for complete translation of Fate/hollow ataraxia). Aoishiro was also great (although manga adaptation is, well, ugly) and Ever17 has Tsugumi.

Visual Novels / Re: VN: Anime Versions - The VN Was Better
« on: August 22, 2011, 08:30:45 am »
One word: Tsukihime.
Even though it's a week old post, I have to agree. I have yet to see a worse adaptation than Shingetsutan Tsukihime, which might count as the most wasted 240 minutes of my life. But hey, Carnival Phantasm is out!

And there's also Clannad. I'm currently midway through Nagisa route (still in School Life) but as far as I'm concerned all the other ones were adapted really well. It's also great they made Tomoyo and Kyou chapters as both of them had great stories in their routes.

BTW, why there's nothing about manga adaptations? Shingetsutan Tsukihime manga was actually great and got an incredible last chapter making True End into Good.
