That was a good AMV Apocalypse! You're right Akashic, that's just a given, like the ninja cat comes closer without moving one. I tried, Zerpo, I tried ... but failed. On to my submissions:

First, a beatboxing cellist:

Next, having too much fun with your action figures:

Finally, jaw-dropping pool shots:

It's especially impressive since I detest Mr. Bean. I liked Blackadder, but Bean is where I have the most exposure to Atkinson.

To fully understand this video you need to know this. France-tan(left) and Germany-tan(right) are competing to see who gets to date Fail-kun. This is what happens

The strangest thing about this mashup is how well it works: The vocals to Korn's Coming Undone mixed with music from The Cure's Lullaby.

Then again, DJ Schmolli did do a lot of work to make Jonathan Davis more harmonic. ;)

Circletine is horribly strange and wrong, yet still makes me laugh somehow. Maybe due to the parody of old Ovaltine ads, maybe just the sheer bizarrity. Anyway...

And now for something completely different.

Diego Stocco creates new instruments and uses them to make original music. Here he assembles pieces of a dead piano, a bass guitar, a chimney flue and more, inspired by the music of old spaghetti westerns:

Take one part Polish black metal, add one part slutty shock pop, mix with a jigger of insanity and you get Ov Fire and Bad Romance (Behemoth's Ov Fire and the Void vs. Lady Gaga's Bad Romance):

I remember seeing that some time ago... It's a curious case, as it mixes two absolutely unbearable songs and results in something bearable - if just for the lol's. ;D

Yeah, I edited the video together about 1.5 years ago. It had been blocked by UMG on YouTube for months, but I just found it viewable again this week (except in Germany).

The result is better than its individual parts to my ears as well.

Cool! I'd seen an AMV using Dead Fantasy, but this is the first time seeing the original. A lot easier to follow at this speed. :D

A German lady goes in to have her thyroid scanned and monitors herself with a Geiger counter before and after getting dosed with Tc99 for the scintigrapy.

Edit:
A new Simon's Cat video, as well as the funniest one yet (IMO).

This thread hasn't had any love in ages.
If you have a few minutes to spare, here are some freakishly great short films.  >:D

Cyriak just came out with a twisted new piece based on a derpy picture he found of himself. Why? Because ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAvS1ndtEKg

... and an older Cyriak reality-bender:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FavUpD_IjVY

Which somehow reminds me of the amazing stop-motion of PES ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBjLW5_dGAM

... along with his latest:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQMO6vjmkyI

So what cool things do you have to share/inflict?

Monty Oum has made some amazing animated shorts - his Dead Fantasy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO8RxVCMrUo) series pits the hot female characters from the Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive video games in battle against each other. He has a new collaboration with Rooster Teeth called RWBY (Red, White, Black, Yellow - pronounced "ruby"). Four trailers were released over the last 9 months for this new weekly show. Most excellent!

It's a 3D CGI anime in all respects except that it was created in Texas with English dialogue rather than in Japan. Everything else feels so very anime-like: Watching the first episode, my eyes were flickering to the bottom of the screen by habit looking for the non-existent subtitles. The first nine episodes of RWBY are online at the Rooster Teeth website (http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?sid=rwby&v=more) and they're 5 to 13 minutes long. The first season is complete on their YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/RoosterTeeth), and I haven't heard when the second season will begin.

Final edit: Episode 8 finishes off the first major arc of the show and is the best installment so far. It's time to stop my OCD re-editing of this post as new eps are aired. :)  The rest of the season can be found at the website or YT channel.
