I would love to talk about the series in extreme detail, but if I did, I would make wayyy too lengthy posts and I would be using the

Anime, Visual Novel, Soundtracks... simply superior.

BTW... Nagisa, Kyou, and Kotomi are my fav. girls in the series.  (Ushio doesn't count!)  Tomoyo ain't bad either, but she has a VN all to herself  ;)

I like to see CLANNAD as one of those anime's that can withstand the test of time. In many years, people will be hearing about CLANNAD remakes!

I'm writing a Kotomi X OC fiction on Fanfiction. She's my absolute favorite character, hands down.

such an wonderful anime, got the OST's on my computer...

everytime im playing: Clannad - Nagisa (by Maeda Jun), im about to cry, that soundtrack brings back all of the bad, and all of the good times of clannad...

Now I have a problem with this!  First off, Clannad ~AS~ is still the best rated TV series, so congrats for the viewers getting that right.  However... One could suggest that ~After Story~, as a sequel series, has the same problems; I respectfully disagree.  You see, I watched Clannad ~AS~ before Clannad.  My friend happened to have the several series available for me to watch, so I chose a show seemingly at random (I saw all the shows listed but I had no idea what any of them were).  ~AS~ was off to the side from the other shows, so I decided to watch that one; sufficient to say I was happy I did.  Why is this important?  Well, watching ~AS~ is what got me hooked on 'non-mainstream' anime. (examples of 'mainstream' shows include any heavily promoted anime in the western world, such as Sailor Moon, DBZ, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.)  The storyline was so powerfully delivered that without any prior knowledge of the series to that point (S1), I was able to learn the background of the characters to a significant extent and understand their struggles without any outside assistance (while changing my life in the process).  This is something that 'Disappearance' and many other shows lack; once again this is not to say 'Disappearance' wasn't a great movie with the proper background knowledge (it was).  Rather, as a 20+ episode self-contained season having to keep up high levels of enjoyment throughout every episode, Clannad ~AS~ deserves additional consideration than what I am guessing it received from the ANN community.

I could go on further, but unless I go into a breakdown of the positives and negatives of each story, this is as good a point as any.

Long live ~AS~.  Long live CLANNAD.  Long live KEY.

Lol, I agree with pretty much everything posted in this thread so far. I saw Clannad prior to ~AS~ and when ~AS~ was airing I've never had the sensation of "I can't wait a whole f^ing week for the next episode to come out" until Amagami SS aired XD.
~AS~ remains as one of my top 5 all time favorites, it's a great adaptation of the VN which is (imo) rare to say about others. Kyou is one of two (the other being Sekai from School Days) of my all time favorite female characters. I used to advocate her for being with Tomoya, but imo the best coupling is with Tomoyo. Reason why I changed my opinion is because I was pretty disappointed with Kyou's OVA since it seemed a little crammed and didn't have the same effect on me as Tomoyo's OVA. Although it was the most anticipated OVA I've ever looked forward to, Tomoyo's OVA is the most rewatched anime-related thing I've seen, rofl. I don't normally read manga but after reading Tomoyo After ~Dear Shining Memories~ I absolutely fell in love with the Tomoyo x Tomoya coupling and now I'm looking forward to her VN Arc (so many thanks Doki <3).

I almost cried upon watching ~AS~, and it's not because I was resenting it, but just because I don't normally cry, lol. HOWEVER, if the whole Clannad and Clannad ~AS~ series originally revolved around Tomoyo and her story in (further) detail, I'd probably cry like a baby assuming it ends as it does in the manga and the impact is strongly delivered.
Love the soundtrack as do many, and plan to learn how to play more music from the series.

I will watch this during the mid semester break, hopefully if I can get all the stuff downloaded next week at Uni. Hopefully it is as great as all you people (and others) say it is.

Finished AS few days ago. One word : Wonderful.
Never cried like that (Thanks to episode 17 to 22).
I want to have kids now ! é_è

Kotomi was my favourite characted. I loved Fuko too. :3

Another fellow Kotomi fan! I felt like I was the only one for so long... Everyone on these forums supports Tomoyo and Nagisa (Nagisa being one of everyone's top three.)

I have no problem sharing my attention with the two wonderful ladies Ayu and Nayuki, or any of the other Key characters.  We have a mutual understanding, you see.  I cannot, and will not, attempt to discredit the great drama Kanon, as it is easily a top 5 anime for me.  However, to blatantly discredit the collective works of Clannad/~AS~, let alone without proof or reason, is nothing short of HERACY in then utmost degree.

Now if you excuse me, I'm off to console Kotomi, Nagisa, and Tomoyo.  Poor Kotomi is crying and Tomoyo looks displeased.  For shame, Ix, in the hallowed halls of the Clannad discussion forum...  The children here look up to you!  They have impressionable minds, so please be mindful of what you say!

If you insist on maintaining your position... I will have no choice to challenge you to a debate on this vary topic.  I love all Key works, but this is my 100th post, and I have a reputation to defend.  When the integrity of the greatest anime ever told is at stake, it is up to the Clannad Man to defend her honor!

What say you, Ixlone?  Will you back down from your outrageous claim, or set up the parameters of a verbal joust?

i couldn't figure out how to make a new thread, and there is no bug report thread in the support section.

The 720p torrent link for clannad is corrupt, bugged or whatever you want to call it. It just directs one over to a script fail.

The After Story batch torrent sent me to a gibberish page initially, but worked when I tried clicking it again (http://doki.co/torrents/Clannad_After_Story_2008_Doki1280x720_h264_BD_AAC.torrent).

I read a similar complaint lately, here are the solutions I remember: Right click the torrent link and use "save as" to save the torrent file to your desktop, then open it from there. Alternately, use Firefox or Chrome rather than IE. As a last resort, you could get JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org/) and use the DDL links here for Clannad (http://forums.hologfx.com/index.php?topic=131.msg371#msg371) and After Story (http://forums.hologfx.com/index.php?topic=36.msg54#msg54).Edit: At least you could before the whole DDL implosion debacle. :(

Clannad is the second best visual novel (first being Little Busters! EX) and my third favorite anime (After air and angel beats), and the sound track is beyond epic.
My favorite girl? KYOU FUJIBAYASHI, my second favorite anime character next to Mai Kawasumi. I even have a 200$ figure of her on a P.E. mat :P Also Dango ftw, I make little dango plushies on my free time ;)

Clannad gets a 10000/10 on my vote.

I think Key stories in general are probably the only series where I've found myself bawling multiple times. 

Oh and Kyou and Tomoyo are HOT!!!  But Kyou for me, I don't know why, I've always ended up falling for tsunderes...
