Oh, this game sounds kinda fun.

Hmm... Well, the marry choice requires little thinking, it's Tessa. By far the most likeable personality and by far the hottest of the three.

The other two are more difficult, mainly because I've only seen one episode of Iroha. I don't have a terribly clear idea of her personality, or how she has developed during the following 15 episodes. I guess I'll go with Chidori for the fail date, because while she doesn't have an altogether bad personality, she's still a bit too tsundere to be healthy in real life.

The remaining choice is Ohana. She's cute enough, cuter than Chidori, and I don't mind a dreamer personality. I'd actually consider her for the marriage choice if not for such a clear winner among the three.

I was thinking freeform storytelling, especially since I doubt all of us are familiar with any one pen&paper RPG system. The GM creates the basic settings, rules&guidelines and the character sheet.

I'm hoping for one more to join us, but at this point I'd like to ask all of you, what kind of an RP are you interested in? What do you want from your RP? Whether it's me or Septe GM'ing, we need to know what's okay with everyone, because we can't afford to leave anyone out with so few of us interested in playing. My main interest is fantasy, though I'm fine with anything, really.

Let's see... I still haven't tried everything I intend to, but here are my opinions so far:

Mayo Chiki - After the first 5 minutes I already knew I wouldn't like it, so I stopped right there. There's something about the concept and storytelling style that I just don't like.
Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi - I've read a few chapters of the manga, so I already knew the story starts interesting. It's not great, but it's above my dropping line.
Dantalian no Shoka - One of the best of the season. Reminds me of Gosick, only with none of its weaknesses.
Kamisama no Memo-chou - This one reminds me of Gosick, too, lol. Far higher quality mysteries, though. The characters, unfortunately, are only so-so.
Ikoku Meiro no Croisée - Cute, great backgrounds, but at least the first episode was slightly boring. Stalled it, I'll need to be in a very special mood to really enjoy something like this.
Nurarihyon no Mago S2 - I'm really annoyed that they skipped the Jami arc, but otherwise it starts with the same great quality that marked the first season.
Sacred Seven - Hardly a quality anime, but it's great light entertainment to me, so it's actually one of my most anticipated anime each week.
Usagi Drop - I'll marathon it once it's complete, to take the most enjoyment out of it. I've read the pre-timeskip part of the manga, and it's one of my top favourites, so I'm expecting this anime to be my favourite of the season.
Ao no Exorcist - It was a bit meh for a while after the start, but the last few episodes have been great again.

Angel Sanctuary is one of my first touches to incest as a theme in a story. The manga, while I haven't finished it, is still one of my top favourites. Rather than driving me away, the theme made me more interested, since it's such a strong taboo. Yosuga no Sora is another story where I find that incest as a theme is well handled and interesting, though I've only seen the 3 first episodes. At that point I decided to stall it and some day watch it all at once, since I like those opening episodes so much.

To clarify, this is not really about getting a sub-forum here for role-playing. I'm totally fine playing here in the Games forum. I'm just trying to figure out if we have enough people interested for it to be sensible for me to start a game here. Less then 5 players and it's not really worth it, it won't be really fun. I might be able to get one or two friends here if necessary, but I'm hoping to get 5-6 people who're regulars here.

Well, aside from numerous light novel and manga adaptations and sequels, it'd be insanely awesome if someone were to adapt a volume of Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen into an anime. That'd be the most epic anime ever made, and likely ever to be made, unless they were to adapt the whole series.

Of course, I wouldn't mind some other good fantasy book series getting adapted either. Or Final Fantasy IX.

But, you know, what I'd MOST like is to some day be able to screenwrite an anime of my own story. Never gonna happen, but one can always dream... and write.

So, I like to RP on forums, and I figured I'd ask if there are any others with similar interests. If it's only one or two people, I'm not gonna bother requesting that they add a section for Role-playing, but if the idea gains more support, I'll either request it, or we can play in this section.

Since you can't for some reason make a poll in this section, just post if you're interested.

Don't worry, you probably won't get all that attached to the main characters. They're boring.

Concerning the poll, Margery Daw and her insane partner are hands down the best characters, as far as I've watched, which is halfway through the first season.

That's a good point, I'll give you that. However, why does this apply only to art? We have a general discussion section, do we not? We can talk about pretty much everything under the sun there, it's not limited to stuff related to Japan. Why can we not have a general picture forum where we can post anything we want (save hardcore stuff, of course)? Earlier on the chatbox there was someone who wanted a "post a picture of yourself" topic. Under the current rules that's forbidden, because not only is it not Japan-related, it's also not anime-styled art, it's photography.

Don't reject my suggestion just because it doesn't fit the original concept of this forum. It's not that much trouble to add and upkeep one more section, and it'll make me (and likely a few others users) happy. Please, just give it a proper thought, and if you decide to shoot it down, do it for a good reason, one that won't make me feel like I'm not being listened to.

I'm not doing this to piss you off. I'm giving you a perfectly sensible suggestion, and if I'm gonna be shot down, I'd like an equally sensible reason for it.

Let me tell you something. There are very few things that annoy me as much as moderators who abuse their power and don't listen to their users. If you prove to be one, I'll quite simply leave this place, because as much as I enjoy interacting with the people here, one bad moderator-user relationship can poison the place, and I don't want to be the cause of such.

I did read the rules. Twice. I suggest you clarify them, just in case there are other idiots like me hanging around here.

Or modify the rule. "Anime" is not an art style, it means animation. Most people know what you generally mean by "anime style", but its limits are indeterminate. Unless you limit it to mean only Japanese art, which would probably disqualify one third of the art posted on these forums so far.

The point is, "only drawn pictures, no photographs" is a clearly defined rule. "Only anime-styled pictures" is an indeterminate rule. Will you disqualify screenshots from some old anime because it doesn't fit your image of what is "anime style"?

There's also the option of a separate section for art styles that don't fit your definition of "anime-styled art".
