I don't see why there isn't one of these. xD No love for VNs guys?
My faves:
Ace Attorney Series - Case trials are so cool! Finding contradictions and solving mysteries has never been more fun.
999 (lol cirno) - Having nothing to do with Cirno, from the writer of the amazing VN Ever17, 999 tells a sorta similar story actually, but the gameplay is different and the mystery is amazing.
Umineko - More mysteries? I love mysteries I guess lol. Don't let the anime stop you from playing this. Otherwise... You'll neer learn about Erika's chopsticks.
Saya no Uta - Do I need to comment? Gen going to work here.
ef - a tale of - I'm still playing through this, but I love the anime and this just gives me more routes, so of course I'll like it. xD

Do I even need an explanation? I.. I mean my name is the Clannad Man, right? :o

Clannad for Xbox 360 ~ Extended storylines FTW! ;D

Ever17 :D

For the most part I don't really play visual novels, but I'm a tiny bit obsessed with the half strategy RPG half visual novel Sakura Taisen series. I've played all five of the main games (2 and 3 are my favourites~), as well as most of the spinoffs across various platforms. It's not typically the sort of thing I go for, but the games are so irresistibly cheerful, and are full of so much campy, intentionally corny charm. I love the music, too, as well as the various stage shows that have grown out of the games over the years. ^_^

Yume Miru Kusuri is my favourite.
Great story, especially the Aika arc, has you raging by the end, very well done.
Would highly recommend it to anyone.

My friend also recomended this to me. I plan to read it soon. xD Sounds fantastic.

Tomoyo after, why would I TL it if not :P

And for that, we are in your debt! Its extremely irritating to own a game and barely be able to understand it.
Lets all show Tomoyo some love!

I have to agree with Ixlone on this one.
Yume Miru Kusuri is my favourite. As he says, the Aeka arc is just fantastic.
I'm pretty fond of Swan Song as well. It's a post apocalyptic setting. Very atmospheric, very well written, great art work. Probably one of the best TL's I've seen for a visual novel too.
I love Cross Channel, too. I never got very far in it but it's another one with great writing and great atmosphere. One day I'll go back and do it properly.

My favourite translated VN is Snow Sakura. It's hilarious, and I actually got a little attached to the characters.
However, my very favourite is Fortune Arterial, which I read with the aid of translators. Just so you know, the original is a hundred times better than the anime, even if the anime is quite watchable. I literally fell in love with Erika. The second time in my life I got a crush on an imaginary character (if we exclude a dream I once had, lol). The skill of the writing shone through the horrible machine translations, and the mood was quite powerful.
Of course, if I were to judge based on the HCG's, I'd come up with completely different names and a lot more of them... :P
-
I absolutely fell in love with the characters of Fortune Arterial just by watching the anime. I really want to play the VN too. Fortune Arterial is one of the rare cases where I actually love the canon coupling.
-
Well, it's a VN, so of course there are multiple routes, but the main one is Erika's, yes. It's such a shame that most of her best romantic interaction with Kouhei didn't make it to the anime. I was so looking forward to the first kiss scene, it's awesome... :(

The last one I finished is most definitely my favorite. G-Senjou no Maou.

The fact that the overly calculating villain is voiced by Fukuyama Jun (Lelouch) only makes it all more epic.

FSN(fate stay night), but i lost my saveT_T
-
My favorite would be Fate/Stay Night since i have only read that and Princess Waltz.
but i am gonna try to read Fortune Arterial soon, once i'm not lazy.

Rewrite~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just finished the Aeka arc for Yume Miru Kusuri. It was quite an interesting read. xP I'm going to go through the other scenarios as well. xP
-
I would say Katawa Shoujo Act1. The unique characters interest me a lot and even tho its only part 1 of an unreleased VN I like it a lot
-
Even though I didn't read too many of different VNs, I'd say my favourites so far would be Sono Hanabira (3 and 5), and TYPE-MOON works - Tsukihime (with Kagetsu Tohya and Melty Blood - VN style, but choices made by fighting :3 ) and Fate/stay night (can't wait for complete translation of Fate/hollow ataraxia). Aoishiro was also great (although manga adaptation is, well, ugly) and Ever17 has Tsugumi.

...dear god i've played so many... umm..
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
also to be completely honest I liked planetarium over Clannad for some reason.. (i did LOVE clannad, note: clannad dakimura, clannad play mat for Weiß Schwarz laminated (with matte then plastic) and I main clannad in Weiß Schwarz..and various clannad wall scrolls .....wryyy!!!!!) but hmm..
Da Capo II? it was a little ermm... H for me but the story and charaters...
Fate/Stay Night perhaps next..?
<insert every key title here, starting with Planetarium then little busters then clannad>

Shrink the signature picture down a bit.

Shrink the signature picture down a bit.
sorry about that, i actually drew an art on adobe illustrator so naturally the vector version was huge, that signature version was small to me, but i was in the middle of adjusting, like my art work? commen- ....
the hell dose this have to do with vn's!?!
-
my favorite is fate stay nigth because is the only I had time to finish
-
Without a doubt, Muv Luv Alternative
-
Little Busters! EX was awesome, as most of Key's eroges they have a minimal but good amount of sex scenes so it doesn't take your mind off of the plot, the game play is very fun, the characters are splendid, and the soundtrack pwns.
Another good one, and an obvious classic would be School Days, the most screwed up visual novel (besides bible black and saya no una) ever made. and the endings all so fun :P.
Clannad, it has great characters and an amazing story, plus an afterstory as your reward for completing all of the school life endings.
Muv Luv, its a bit cliche, the story is a bit half baked, and you can only make it with two girls, but its still funny the animation (or close enough to animation, after all it is a VN) is great, and unlimited is a awesome
Finally we have Kanon: Key's first visual novel, and one of the best visual novels ever. Its a bit simplistic and parts get boring, but the characters are all unique (Though cliche) and the story is fun. Mai for the win ;)
-
I would say Tokino Senka I played that game the post. I really enjoyed the battle gameplay in it. After that would be Seinarukana, but progress is progress is really difficult when you're on Hard mode and aim to get an SS rank for each mission :p
-
I didn't read a lot of visual novels, but my favourite is clannad (tomoyo route and ushio route was the best), and in the second place is fsn, but I'm still hoping for an illya route
-
My favorite is either Clannad or Steins;Gate (I wish a group would translate Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling for the PSP since it would be easier than doing the original Xbox360... I'm not getting my hopes up though... :P)
I have others, but they don't match up to them as much.
A few of them are:
"Flyable Heart" (I also wish some group would translate this and "Flyable CandyHeart")
"Katawa Shoujo"
"Majikoi"
-
I have a ton of great visual novels lying around on my comp, but the only ones I've actually played so far are Fate/stay night, Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya, Utawarerumono, and Ever17. Kagetsu Tohya was good, but the rest I'd say are all fantastic. Fate/stay night is without a doubt my favourite one (look at my avatar) though, it's so amazing!

I can't decide on a single favorite, so I'll put up a list:
Little Busters
Fate/Stay Night
Clannad
Tsukihime
Katawa Shoujo
Kanon
Hakuouki

Not that I'm really interested, personally, but you might wanna include the info of WHICH Hakuouki you are talking about, since there are more than one of them: http://vndb.org/v/all?sq=Hakuouki
