When it comes to wants, I'd reaaaaly like a better rig that can easily playback 1080P BD.
If I had almost 500$ to spare......I WOULD NOT waste it on reserving the fate/zero box set for a present. Instead, I would get my friend a better graphics card so he can play back UTW's 10-bit 1080P release of the Fate/Zero (As well as play Skyrim with the graphics set higher.)

General Discussions / Making a Good Hard-Subbed Ano Hana

Okay, so in early December I'll be heading back to my parent's place for about a month to spend Christmas break with them and they have a SUPER awesome blu-ray player; unlike my xbox, this thing can easily play back 1080P BD releases in hard-subbed .mp4 from my 80GB USB portable HD: No lag, no unsynched voices, just pure eye candy played back on their huge TV.
So anyways, the first thing I'm planning to watch on it is Ano Hana and I plan to download doki's release, use MKV extract to extract the .ass file from each episode, and use some sort of program to hard-sub it onto the best 1080P raw I can find. So what I'm wondering is the following:
*What program should I use to hardsub it?
*Is it possible to have the subtitles keep the same color/font they had in the .mkv file?
*If not, then how do I ensure the subtitles aren't eye cancer when hard-subbed?
Any feed back would be helpful.

Doki Fansubs / Re: The First Time You Came To Doki

I came along in early October of 2010 and I remember it like it was yesterday.
I had miraculously discovered that there were animes such as To Love Ru that were perverted without being hentai and had plots (ecchi). After having watched To Love Ru(My very first ecchi!) I had heard of another such series, Ladies vs. Buttlers, and when I tried watching it on a streaming website I was appalled at the excessive censorship. After hearing that you could find an uncensored version of it from fansubbers and would be able to see boobs, I googled "Ladies vs. Buttlers uncensored" and Doki's release here:

Was the first thing that came up. I dl'd that and the specials and was very impressed with doki's quality. Then when I saw you guys were doing Motto To Love Ru I stuck around and I've been here ever since. (Though I wasn't really a talker in the cbox until December)
