So recently started re-watching Death Note, and the first 25 eps reminded me how awesome this show is (up to this point, shame same can't be said for the following eps).

Made me wonder, which characters dying affected you most? L dying was pretty powerful stuff, was sad to see him go, he always looked so rough and unkempt, it kind of made you feel sorry for him.

Death Note was always a strange show to me. While I was fascinated by it and wanted to see what would happen, I never really grew that attached to any of the characters. Everyone seemed marked for death eventually, no matter who they were.

A slight aside: My favorite part of the show was in the 2nd OP by Maximum the Hormone. Every time I saw Ryuk dancing with his Earth apple I had to grin and often laugh. That and Misa looked pretty good in her gothy outfit.
